Dissatisfaction Leads to Success?

Many people view goals as a “to do” list.  You simply write down everything you need to get done….and then (ideally) you do them.  That is true…but it’s only partly true!

The purpose of goals is to stretch yourself – to grow as an individual – to learn things you didn’t previously know and to do things you’ve never done.  It’s about actively replacing your old conditioning so you can move forward into a more productive, more abundant, more fulfilling way of life!

What motivates us to grow and develop to our full potential?  It’s our dissatisfaction with our current circumstances together with our aspirations for something better!

And, let’s be clear – we should always be grateful for what we have, but we should also be dissatisfied!  There is a huge difference between the two!

It was dissatisfaction with candles and lamps which drove Edison to create something better – the light bulb!  He had to expand his knowledge, practice patience and persistence and become confident enough in his idea to face ridicule!  He was grateful for every lesson learned along the way!  “I have not failed.  I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work!”  -Thomas Edison

Our goals are going to move us from our current dissatisfied state to where we desire to be…..and where we desire to be should be ever evolving!  Once you achieve your first goal….you proceed to the next – always by means of your passions, in line with your purpose to live your highest vision!
